This volume is the result of wide-scope research on the application of IEQ (Indoor Environmental Quality) in existing buildings. Lo studio tratta il recupero di un vuoto urbano nel centro storico di Palermo. L’ipotesi illustrata riguarda la progettazione di una “macchina dell’acqua” (un canale sulle tracce dell’antico fiume Kemonia) pensata per rappresentare e realizzare le istanze di una nuova società che intende costruire nuovi ambienti sottraendoli al degrado ed alla speculazione.
